About Kiara
I've always wanted to be a teacher because I want to have a positive influence in shaping young minds that is why I am studying to become a High School Language teacher at UNISA. As a teacher, I like to incorporate different philosophies to ensure that my teachings are well rounded and applicable to many different subjects. I want to make an influence in the modern education system and create an open minded environment to allow for all students to be able to learn equally. I aim to create inspiring and creative lessons that can be used as extra resources throughout the school year.

As a tutor who has been working with students of different ages and abilities, I take pride in developing lessons for each individual student to suit their needs and learning methods. I like to incorporate fun activities and topics that are relevant and interesting for the students to enhance motivation and focus. A typical online lesson will include the lesson itself being conducted via Microsoft Teams, extra resources and worksheets will be worked through and a time for extra questions and revision will be allocated at the end of each lesson. Language lessons will include language rules, exercises and worksheets. Reading lessons will include creative comprehensions that aim to expand vocabulary and promote better pronunciation and understanding of the English Language. Writing lessons may include grammar exercises and rules, guidelines and templates as well as extra vocabulary exercises.
