About Matthew
My name is Matthew. I am a Canadian-American English teacher and a native speaker with over nine years of professional teaching experience. I’ve delivered more than 6,000 hours of online lessons across various international platforms and helped students from all over the world improve their English skills confidently and efficiently. I am currently a PhD student in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) at a leading university. Along with my academic background, I bring real teaching expertise and modern teaching strategies that keep lessons engaging, practical, and tailored to each student’s goals. Outside of teaching, I enjoy an active lifestyle — I work out 4–5 times a week to keep my energy high and bring that same motivation into my lessons. I’m also passionate about reading novels and personal development books, and I love traveling. I've visited several countries and can communicate in multiple languages, which helps me understand my students’ challenges and learning perspectives. I'm excited to help you achieve your English goals with confidence and enthusiasm.

I teach using the ESA methodology, which means our lessons will be completely student-centered and focused on your needs and goals. Together, we will work specifically on the areas that matter most to you, ensuring you can express yourself clearly and confidently in real situations.
I specialize in Business English and workplace communication, helping professionals speak effectively with colleagues, clients, and teams. I have over 9 years of experience preparing students for exams such as TOEFL, IELTS, and others — with many students achieving TOEFL scores of 100+ and IELTS scores of 7.5–8.0.
I hold a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Teaching English (TESOL), and I am currently pursuing my PhD in English Teaching.
