About Michael
I am both an Advocate and a professional English teacher. I am an Englishman with a masters degree and I have experience teaching all ages. I prefer to work with brighter students who are looking to ace their IELTS. I am a phonics specialist and am a master of the IPA.

I do an individual analysis to determine the students strengths and weaknesses, which I reconcile with their objective (usually IELTS). This allows me to target areas that need work and practice. I find that Indian students have much better English than my Chinese students, but the downside to this is that almost all Indian students have picked up some bad pronunciation, which can be a killer in the speaking segment!
