About Emerance
My name is Emerance Kasongo, a proud Congolese dancer and performer based in Salt Lake City. Rooted in my African heritage, I specialize in traditional and modern African dance styles, including Afrobeat, Congolese rhythms, and Afro-fusion. Dance is more than movement to me—it’s a powerful way to express identity, celebrate culture, and connect with others. With a background in communication and marketing, I also love using dance as a platform to empower young people, promote cultural appreciation, and build confidence through rhythm. Whether I’m performing on stage or teaching students, I bring energy, authenticity, and a whole lot of heart.
