  • When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?

As a child, that moment of ignition (recognition of talent) really drove me to want to know 'the how and why' I could use my instrument (The Voice) in a better way than my peers.

Music is STILL my compass, a navigator for my relationships, feelings and it is consistently on. I am a coach who prides herself on staying up to date with the latest musical trends.

Beautiful vocals are what drive me and how I can help clients create easy slick vocals. I am THE MOST passionate coach, I teach many clients who use music for pleasure, therapy, or those genuinely who wish to make it.
  • Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

Throughout my Career of being in the Music and musical Theatre industry I've been exposed to many genres of music. Having a favourite is merely impossible. However, the genres which I have worked closely with are Pop, Country, Musical Theatre, Classical, Rock and Jazz. These have been in my career as a performer as well being the most poplar demands from my students.
  • Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

One of the most challenging and rewarding courses I could give a music student would focus on the practical development of the voice and the process of musical creation. While many students look for a direct route to becoming a better singer or musician, I believe the strongest foundation begins with understanding how the voice is formed and produced.

The course would start with the anatomy and mechanics of vocal production—how breath, vocal folds, resonance chambers, and articulation work together to create sound. From there, we would explore the role of vowels, resonance, and vowel modification, helping students understand not only what sounds they are making, but why they sound the way they do. This technical knowledge gives students the tools to make informed adjustments and develop greater freedom and consistency in their singing.

However, understanding the theory is only the beginning. The real challenge comes in applying these concepts within music. Students would spend countless hours experimenting, practising, and refining their technique through repertoire, exercises, and performance. There is no substitute for repetition and experience; vocal development is ultimately built through disciplined and purposeful practice.

Most importantly, the course would emphasize doing rather than simply discussing. I believe the most valuable lesson a teacher can give is to create opportunities for students to perform, write songs, and make music themselves. Rather than remaining in a purely theoretical space, students would be encouraged to take risks, create original work, and develop their artistic voice through active participation.

For me, the most riveting aspect of teaching music is witnessing the moment when technical understanding, practice, and creativity come together. A student not only learns how the voice works but begins to use it confidently as a tool for expression. Ultimately, the best lesson is not one where the student listens to me explain music—it is one where they leave having created, performed, and discovered something for themselves.
  • What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

The voice initially is not tangible without the know how. A lot of the learning applied is kinesthetic and then turned into something audible, blended with a human element of feeling - how does this not sound complicated to you?
  • What are your keys to success?

Over 25 years worth of knowledge, qualifications, lessons and beautiful clients along the way.
  • Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

Mozart because he remains one of history's greatest musical enigmas. I would be fascinated to understand how someone could combine such extraordinary technical mastery with such effortless creativity. Beyond the mythology surrounding him, I would want to know how he approached inspiration, whether he truly heard complete works in his mind before writing them down, and what he thought the future of music might become.

Miles Davis because he continually reinvented himself. From bebop to cool jazz, modal jazz, and fusion, he refused to stand still artistically. I would love to hear his thoughts on creativity, risk-taking, and the courage required to abandon success in pursuit of something new. As an educator and musician, I find that mindset incredibly inspiring.

David Bowie because he demonstrated that musicianship extends far beyond technical skill. He understood identity, storytelling, performance, and artistic evolution better than almost anyone. I would be fascinated to discuss how he balanced innovation with accessibility and how he remained culturally relevant across multiple decades while constantly challenging both himself and his audience.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

You are unique, your sound is unique, there is only one of you. Everyone starts somewhere.
  • What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

My client base is worldwide and of different ages and accents. Preparing clients for the Voice finals 2025 really stepped everything up a gear. I am also a coach that never stops learning my craft. I live for voice coaching, I suppose this obsession along with all of my certification makes me a superprof.
