About Niral
First and foreost, I love teaching whenever I can - across all platforms and at every level That being said, I have to spend a lot of time in the researh lab, but if I'm not in the lab or dancing around the kitchen with chemistry books all over the floor -- Top Chef playing in the background. If I'm really lucky, I'll be up on the ski slopes or on the soccer field with my coworkers
Teaching was always a dream of mine, but it wasn't the field I was pushed towards - now that I get to do what I want, I'd neverdo anything else :)

By training, my expertise is in synthetic organic chemistry, specializing in photochemistry of organic molecules, both for the absorptive properties and intramolecular charge transfer. I've been lucky enough to publish 9 papers on the topic, and been awarded 2 patents as well. If you were looking for another way to put it...I'm a complete nerd. Right now I work as a synthetic organic chemist at Virginia Commonwealth University doing research on protein cross-linking in Alzheimer's patients!
My goal in life has always to be a teacher -- having learned from fantastic AP Biology and AP Chemistry teachers in high school, and exceptional professors at USC and Wake Forest. My teachers taught me to take great pride in the success of my students, which is why I like to take time to not only teach, but get to know them on a personal level as well.
I consider myself a 24-hour tutor...if I can't answer your question right away, I'll get to it right away and send over an answer as soon as I can :)
