I have taught English Language Arts for over 25 years in grades five through eight to thousands of students. My students have been successful in passing reading and writing state tests and have become life-long learners and lovers of reading and writing. They have found a love for reading.

I have been a middle school administrator, English department chair, and English teacher of over 25 years. Currently, I work as a reading and writing interventionist in a Title 1 School. I am an author and love teaching students to write essays. Literature is also a passion of mine. I specialize in teaching reading strategies to assist students reading below grade level. When teaching a lesson, I make sure students make a connection to the topic of the lesson. I learn the student's learning style and work with the student on his or her level to reach the goal of the lesson. My goal is to make the lesson interesting and fun while taking the student to the next academic level!
