About Sheila
I’m a 20-year-old college student majoring in Biology and Zoology. I’ve always felt a deep sense of urgency to help those who can’t help themselves and to be a voice for the voiceless. That passion drives everything I do—both in and out of the classroom. In addition to tutoring, I work a part-time job and attend school full-time. Even with a busy schedule, I remain committed to putting in the time, energy, and heart it takes to make a difference—in my studies, my work, and in the lives of the students I support.

As a tutor, my sessions are fully student-centered. I begin by identifying your strengths and areas for growth, then build lessons around what you need to succeed. Whether you’re struggling with grammar, nervous about essay writing, or unsure how to organize your thoughts, I’ll help break things down in a clear, encouraging way.
My goal is to not only improve your writing—but also help you gain confidence in your voice and ability.
A Typical Lesson Plan Includes:
• Warm-up: Brief review or skill-building activity based on a previously learned concept
• Core Focus: We dive into the main lesson—whether that’s thesis writing, editing, analyzing a passage, or building an outline
• Practice Time: You’ll apply what you’re learning with my guidance and feedback
• Review & Feedback: We reflect on progress, highlight improvements, and set a small goal for next time
Who I Work With
I tutor:
• Middle school & high school students (6th–12th grade)
• College students (especially undergrads in any major needing help with essays, reports, or general writing skills)
• ESL learners looking to improve written English
Whether you’re writing a persuasive essay, struggling with sentence structure, or trying to polish a research paper, I’m here to help you succeed.
