About Julia
I have been giving English lessons for two years. Aside from achieving an A at A-level in English, I also study the subject at University and am involved with teaching English as a foreign language. In the past, I have been able to boost students' confidence in their own work, as well as their grades in GCSE- examinations, with a 100% pass rate. Most of all, English is my passion and I aim to create dynamic and interesting lessons for my students in order, not only to improve their grades, but also to keep them engaged with the content, and hopefully enjoy it too!

As a subject with no 'right' answers, I can understand the struggle students may go through when studying for their exams. My aim is to equip students with the general skills needed to tackle texts analytically, recall necessary facts, and gain some enjoyment from the subject in the process! Lessons may include a set schedule as created by me based on the individual student's needs, or on a meeting-by-meeting basis, covering whichever topics the student is struggling with at the time. This can include essay-writing skills, critical analysis, creative writing, and personal statements. My primary area of focus is KS3 & GCSE prep, however, I'm happy to take A-level students.
