About Brock
Hello! I'm Brock, a dedicated third-year Secondary Education student at the University of Queensland (UQ). With a rich background in Electrical Engineering and a current focus on Advanced Japanese and Digital Humanities, I bring a uniquely interdisciplinary approach to tutoring.
My interests in philosophy and humanities have always been a strength; in high school, I achieved an OP3 (equivalent to an ATAR of 97). As a preservice teacher, I have gained valuable classroom experience, ensuring my tutoring is grounded in practical educational strategies.
Teaching, to me, is more than a profession—it's a lifelong passion. I'm committed to supporting students' academic journeys while continuing to develop my own vocational skills.

As a tutor, my philosophy centers on the belief that education should be personalized, interactive, and engaging. My methodology is student-centered, and I aim to foster an environment that encourages intellectual curiosity, personal growth, and self-confidence.
I specialize in secondary school students. I teach the huminites, mathematics, and Japanese language. I believe that lessons should be determined on a student by student basis.
Whether the student is struggling with basic concepts or looking to challenge themselves with more advanced material, I tailor my teaching to suit their level, pace, and style of learning. My aim is to empower each student to achieve their personal best, no matter their age or proficiency level.
I firmly believe that a successful education nurtures an intrinsic love for learning, and as a tutor, my mission is to spark this passion in my students, providing them with the tools and confidence to be lifelong learners.
