About Nicholas
I have significant experience teaching math and science subjects for middle school-aged, high school-aged, and undergraduate students. My varied experience has allowed me to understand the different teaching styles required for varying age groups. My experience working with underprivileged students and students with ADHD has also taught me that some students require more patience and a different approach to bring the best out of them.

For my lessons, I first try to gauge the level of understanding of my students by either working with them on a homework assignment, reviewing a recent exam, or giving them practice problems. I then explain to my students the concepts and methods behind the problems that they found difficult and let the student decide if they want to work on a homework assignment or a pre-planned practice worksheet. I try to let the student guide their own learning and utilize their strengths as much as possible while still encouraging them to put in effort to work on their weaknesses. I tutor students from elementary school through to the early undergraduate level.
