About Nicole
Having grown up surrounded by many amazing teachers, both in and out of school, who have had a significant influence on my educational experience and shaped me as an individual, which includes acting as a support network for my goals, I believe that teachers play a major role in any student's life. I feel that it would be hugely rewarding to know that I have made a valuable contribution towards a student's growth and ability to achieve to their potential. As a tutor I would love to have the opportunity to give my students a meaningful educational experience that allows them to prosper both academically and in their confidence.

My approach to tutoring will consist of:
- Establishing the academic goals of the student
- Incorporating the expectations of parents into the course
- Planning the lessons according to each student's capabilities
- Adapting teaching to suit school curriculum (e.g NCEA concepts)
- Prepare students for assessments or external exams
- An easygoing and comfortable learning environment
- Regular revision of taught material
- Flexibility and clear communication regarding tuition
A typical lesson will last around 1 hour but can be adjusted in accordance to the student's needs/expectations. I currently have no professional teaching experience, however have provided casual tutoring to high school students with great success, for more than 5 years. My lessons are typically for high school students and first year university students, however could include younger ages.
