About Ling Seiiy Lin
Every successful university application starts with a story, and I've spent the last several years building mine through scholarships, international education, research, and academic excellence. Now, I want to help you build yours.
I am currently a Chemistry and Biology student at New York University Shanghai. Before university, I earned a full scholarship to attend the United World College Southeast Asia in Singapore, one of the world's leading international schools. During high school, I represented Uganda at the International Chemistry Olympiad in 2022 and developed a passion for research, leadership, and global education.
When it came time to apply to university, I was accepted to all eight universities I applied to, receiving a full scholarship from every one before choosing to attend New York University. Since then, I have continued to pursue competitive opportunities, successfully applying to fully funded research internships, summer research programs, leadership experiences, and international opportunities.
I know firsthand that university admissions are about much more than grades. They are about telling your story, making strategic choices, and finding opportunities that align with your ambitions. My sessions are designed to give you the guidance I wish every student had before applying to university.
Whether you're still exploring your options or finalizing your applications, I'll work with you one-on-one to create a personalized strategy that reflects your strengths, ambitions, and goals. Together, we'll research universities that are the best academic, financial, and personal fit for you, not just the most prestigious ones.
Our sessions can include university selection, building a balanced application list, scholarship and financial aid strategies, extracurricular and leadership planning, research opportunities, personal statement and essay reviews, CV and résumé feedback, interview preparation, and application reviews. I'll also share practical insights into studying abroad, adapting to university life, and making the most of international opportunities.
My goal isn't simply to help you submit applications. It's to help you build a profile that universities want to admit and invest in. Every recommendation I give is based on real experience navigating competitive international admissions and securing fully funded educational opportunities. By the end of our time together, you'll have a clear plan, stronger applications, and the confidence to put your best foot forward.
