About Toni
I believe what best demonstrates who I am, is someone else’s perception so here is a review from one of my ex student’s parent:
My son had help from Toni to build confidence and to also ensure he got a pass. Toni asked if he enjoyed the subject, which he honestly answered as ‘no’ and so she said she was glad to know that so wouldn’t try and make him like it but focus on teaching him techniques to get a pass, this is why my son chose her from the other tutors interviewed. My son not only passed his exam, but he got a 7 GCSE (grade A). So given that he wasn’t convinced he would pass and he doesn’t like the subject, this is good. What is fantastic though is that he hadn’t even attended school in the last 6 months due to illness and still got a grade A. So, if you are considering an English tutor, note the above. Toni did extremely well with my son.

Throughout school and up until now I have struggled with slow processing. I wasn’t open about this at the time and hence teachers and those around me could not be attentive to my needs. Over time, I have worked out what techniques help me in mitigating the effects of slow processing. I believe this is what will set me apart from other tutors. The ability to be empathetic and provide my students with an individualistic experience that caters to their needs, is something that will guarantee successes for my students.
I understand that education can be overwhelming and outside pressures can remove the joy in learning, but I hope to tackle this with my students in a non confrontational manner through understanding their own personal hardships, with regard to their learning.
