About Ed
Hello! My name is Ed and I am a university student at Newcastle University, currently studying International Business and Spanish. This may make you wonder why I'm looking at teaching French! My mother is fluent in the language and I quickly picked it up in school, I completed my GCSE and afterwards, International Baccalaureate in French in which I have developed a passion for the culture after having spent a fair amount of time in the country, speaking the language. This meant at university I wanted to pick up a new language, as I was already happy with my level of French Language skills.

My approach is gentle but effective. I like to develop insights into the student as well as teaching them, as I understand that not everybody learns the same, it is important that fun is had as well as learning, as enjoyment and learning go hand in hand with positive grades. To shift the focus on content of teaching, I will primarily focus on these methods to best approach learning the language:
- verb testing.
- exam techniques
- confidence in linguistics, communication over perfection.
- making culture central.
