Many students try to improve their English by rereading notes or memorising quotes and get frustrated when it does not work. My tutoring is not about rote memorisation or vague advice. It is about giving students a clear pathway from where they are now to where they want to be.
I am Hayder, a VCE English graduate with a study score of 42, and I offer one-on-one tutoring online for Year 10–12 students. I help students develop the confidence, skills, and strategies needed to perform consistently well in SACs and exams.
What I focus on:
- Structured writing skills: how to build paragraphs and essays that hit the marks assessors look for
- Deep textual understanding: reading critically, analysing themes and author choices, and connecting ideas logically
- Practical techniques: developing metalanguage, managing time in exams, and writing with control, not guesswork
My lessons are 60 minutes and tailored to each student’s level and goals. I work with students who want to:

French:
Learning French can feel overwhelming if you focus only on memorising vocabulary or completing exercises without understanding how the language works in context. My tutoring goes beyond repetition — I help students develop real skills they can use in reading, writing, and speaking.
My approach includes:
Grammar and structure mastery: understanding and applying French grammar to express ideas clearly
Comprehension and analysis: breaking down texts, identifying themes, and interpreting meaning in French language and culture
Exam-ready techniques: tackling writing and speaking tasks efficiently, using strategies to manage time and organise responses
