About Annelise
I left the United States to live in Panama as a young adult. I enjoy guitar, badminton, and a few other hobbies like watercolor and book illustration. In my free time when I'm NOT teaching English, I can be found illustrating children's books, birdwatching, and visiting local coffee shops to try the espresso.

I focus on confidence-building through practical, engaging conversation. I want YOU to speak the most. We learn best when we feel relaxed, confident, and happy! Teaching Method & Techniques I use a conversation-first approach with real-world topics tailored to each student’s goals—whether that’s preparing for the IELTS, improving fluency for meetings, or feeling more natural in everyday English. If you like, I provide feedback and tips. I also speak Spanish so I'm accustomed to the differences between the languages, but we will focus on English throughout the lesson. Typical Lesson Plan Warm-up: Small talk (5–10 mins) Core conversation topic or goal-based activity (30–35 mins) Feedback + review of mistakes, tips, or new vocabulary (5–10 mins) I’ve been teaching for 7 years to students from Saudi Arabia and China to Vietnam and Costa Rica. I love all of my students as individuals with interesting stories to tell, and I enjoy helping you express yourself in this amazing language, English. My classes are best for: Intermediate and advanced Business English learners Adults and professionals preparing for meetings, job interviews, presentations, or the IELTS exam Spanish speakers who want a native-speaking teacher who understands the learning process
