About Brent
I've been involved in education for over 40 years, as a teacher, tutor, sales and corporate trainer, and similar roles. I have served on textbook committees and student advisory teams, helped organize writing festivals, spoken at conferences, and published a few articles, but more important has been my role as a facilitator to both the academic and business careers of others.

Lessons are personalized to meet your needs, nothing canned that leaves you befuddled and unfulfilled. Though my degrees are in English, I've taught mathematics through Geometry.
I have no typical lesson plan. First, I must determine your strengths and weaknesses; Why would I focus on conjugating verbs if your writing needs structure? If you are currently taking classes, I'll go over the syllabus with you; if you're just trying for a general refresher course, I'll put something together that meets your desires. I've also trained corporate and fiction writers on improving their messages. Ask me; I I don't think I'm qualified, I'll tell you! For example, while familiar with trigonometry, calculus, and linear algebra, I won't offer to teach them to you!
