About Stephanie
Stephanie Chiasson is a Toronto-based Canadian/American producer with five years of experience. With a background in Fine Arts in Photography, from Toronto Metropolitan University, her career shifted in 2020 to producing independent music videos, commercials, and short films. As a Co-founder of Good Habit Films, Stephanie has developed a wide range of experience in both narrative formats and commercial projects. Her dedication to supporting artists and creatives is evident in her commitment to sharing their work and passions through meaningful production processes. Stephanie believes in empowering others, providing platforms for diverse voices, and helping bring artistic visions to life. After receiving the Telefilm Talent to Watch Grant, she completed production of her first feature film at the end of 2024. Stephanie's passion for collaborating with others to bring ideas and projects to life shines through in her work. When she’s not producing, Stephanie enjoys traveling, having recently visited Paris, Tokyo, and Iceland.

I'd like to provide a way to learn and understand film that creates a collaborative and safe space to ask questions and grow as creatives. This introductory filmmaking covers the essential stages of film production. Students begin by exploring the basics of storytelling, genres, and visual language, then move into scriptwriting, learning proper screenplay format and how to craft compelling characters and dialogue. They’re introduced to directing, shot composition, and cinematography, followed by hands-on training in camera work and lighting. The course also covers production planning, set roles, call sheets, and the importance of sound and production design.
