About Grant
Born and raised in Auckland, I served my apprenticeship at the Auckland Gas Company and Mr. Plumber before heading overseas to spend some time in the Australian and European tourism industry, running a marketing department.
I returned to NZ to raise my family and resumed my role in the plumbing trade gaining Certified Plumber and Certified Gas Fitter status. I have been managing plumbing businesses, training multilingual apprentices and tradesmen in the East Auckland area for the past 18 years,
I've had experience being the second language learner (in Europe) and I understand how hard it can be getting to grips with the local lingo, especially in business.
Sitting trade exams made me understand how challenging our language can be and I really enjoy helping others to succeed.
I can help you navigate conversational and professional English with your customers, lecturers, suppliers, and colleagues.

Our lessons are generally online conversational and are of 1 hour duration.
I have been in the NZ trade for 40 years. An 18 year stint in marketing and tourism, throughout the world, enables me to understand the difficulties faced with a new language and culture when emigrating to New Zealand.
My lessons are for trainees and apprentices to experienced tradespeople, those wishing to work in New Zealand or those already living here.
