About Harjoth
I am a primary school teacher with many years of teaching experience and a passion for helping others learn. Alongside teaching in school, I teach Tanti Saaj instruments every weekend and have worked with many students of different ages and abilities.
I play Harmonium (Vaja), Tabla, Dilruba, Cello and Piano, and have spent around 10 years learning from experienced and respected Ustaads. I am passionate about Indian classical music, Gurbani Sangeet and helping students develop their skills with confidence.
As well as music tuition, I also provide Maths and English tutoring, using my classroom experience to help students build strong foundations and make excellent progress.
My lessons are friendly, patient and tailored to each student. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to improve your playing, I would love to support you on your learning journey and help you achieve your goals.

Discover the rich tradition of Indian Classical Music through personalised Harmonium (Vaja), Tabla and Dilruba lessons. Students will learn raags, traditional styles of Kirtan and Gurbani Sangeet, as well as essential techniques to develop strong musical foundations. Tabla students will explore teka, kaida, tukra and compositions from different gharanas, including the Banaras style, while also learning how to accompany vocal and instrumental music. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, helping them build confidence, improve technique, deepen their understanding of the tradition, and progress steadily on their musical journey. Suitable for beginners and more experienced learners alike.
