About Niamh
I prioritise instilling confidence in English, helping students feel empowered and capable in their skills, such as spelling, reading and writing. With training in Education specialising in English and teaching experience with students of various ages and backgrounds, I bring both expertise and a proven track record to my teaching. I create a supportive and engaging learning environment, using interactive learning, personalised lessons, and practical examples to cater to different learning styles. My lessons, typically lasting 60 minutes, are thorough yet flexible, ensuring each student receives the attention and guidance they need. I can assist with assessment preparation, creative writing, and even help prepare CVs and personal statements. Professionalism is at the heart of my approach, and I am dedicated to fostering a positive attitude towards learning while helping students achieve their academic goals.

My approach to tutoring is pupil-centered, focusing on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. I employ various techniques to cater to different learning styles, such as interactive learning, personalised lessons specific to the pupil, conceptual understanding, practical examples, and regular assessments. Typically, lessons last around 60 minutes, ensuring ample time to cover new material, review previous lessons, and address questions. I am on track to receiving my QTS and a first class degree in Primary Education, specialising in English and have two years of in-school teaching experience with diverse age groups and educational backgrounds. My lessons are designed for students from primary to secondary school, generally aged 8 to 16, though I am open to younger children and adult learners. My teaching caters to different learning goals, whether improving grades, preparing for exams, or deepening subject knowledge. I strive to make learning enjoyable and effective, fostering a positive attitude towards education and helping students achieve their academic goals.
