About Keira
I am an enthusiastic chemistry educator with more than 6 years of tutoring experience supporting students from secondary education through university-level studies. My objective is to make chemistry approachable and engaging by presenting challenging concepts through simplified explanations, practical applications, and personalised teaching methods.
Over the years, I have helped students improve their confidence in topics including organic synthesis, equilibrium, acids and bases, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, reaction mechanisms, and analytical chemistry. I adapt lessons to suit individual learning styles, ensuring students receive focused support aligned with their academic goals and abilities.
My sessions encourage active learning, critical analysis, and independent problem-solving. I place strong emphasis on conceptual understanding so students can confidently apply scientific principles in examinations, coursework, and advanced studies. In addition to academic support, I also guide students in developing effective revision strategies and structured approaches to tackling complex questions.

Chemistry can feel overwhelming when reactions, formulae, and calculations appear disconnected, which is why my lessons focus on creating meaningful understanding through structured and personalised teaching. I teach students from GCSE and A-Level through to university studies, adapting every lesson to match their pace, confidence level, and academic ambitions.
My teaching style combines theory with application, helping students connect chemical concepts to practical situations and everyday phenomena. Lessons explore topics such as organic chemistry, atomic theory, equilibrium, kinetics, thermodynamics, redox reactions, and analytical chemistry using simplified explanations and progressive problem-solving methods. Complex mechanisms and calculations are broken down into manageable stages so students can build confidence gradually while improving accuracy and scientific reasoning.
Sessions are interactive and discussion-based, encouraging learners to ask questions, think critically, and develop independent problem-solving abilities. I also provide guidance with coursework, revision planning, examination preparation, and laboratory-related concepts.
My objective is to create an engaging and encouraging learning atmosphere where students feel motivated to improve academically. Through patience, adaptability, and clear instruction, I help learners strengthen their chemistry knowledge while developing skills that support long-term educational success.
