About Rhett
I'm a student-athlete at Walter Payton College Prep, a high school located in downtown Chicago.
Whether out on the soccer field, in my college Linear Algebra course, or at my school's Economic and Investment club, my mind always has math running through it.
As an aspiring astrophysicist, I've been taking the most rigorous math courses possible since my first day at school. I've always gotten A's in the stem courses I've taken (Don't ask about my history grades ), and I've excelled in the math section of the SAT, scoring a 790 on it my first time. I'm an enthusiastic learner, and even more enthusiastic teacher, and I believe the best way to learn something is through a genuine connection with whoever is teaching it.

My approach to teaching combines clear step-by-step explanations with practical problem-solving techniques. I will use a mix of visual aids, real-world examples, and interactive exercises to ensure a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
A typical lesson plan would include a brief review of what was taught the previous tutoring session, followed by an introduction to new concepts through examples and guided practice. Then, we'll tackle challenging problems together, emphasizing critical thinking and problem-solving strategies. The lesson concludes with a summary and personalized homework to reinforce the teachings that day.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to simplify complex topics and make learning enjoyable. My persevering experience as a student in High School makes me more personable and understanding of the challenges you face, allowing me to provide relatable and effective support.
