About Sarabande
I began my professional violin training with my family at the age of 4. After graduating from junior high school, I continued my studies at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, and in 2009 began my undergraduate studies at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Before graduating, I was successfully invited to join a full-time professional symphony orchestra. I spent five years there as a first violin player. This enabled me to gain invaluable experience.
I then moved to the USA to complete a Master's degree in violin and a Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Iowa. I am now preparing to defend my doctoral thesis and will soon complete my degree.
During my studies, I was honored to receive full scholarships that attest to my academic and musical excellence. I have 12 years of experience teaching violin and 5 years of experience performing in professional orchestras. My extensive travels as a violinist have taken me to many countries and regions, including the USA, Korea, China, and Hong Kong. I have also organized a string quartet, which has performed chamber music concerts in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois, showcasing my versatility and overall contribution to the music industry.

Looking to learn the violin and music theory? With 8 years of experience as a private instructor and almost 50 students taught, ranging in age from 6 to 40, I have honed my teaching methods to cater to different learning styles, helping each student better absorb the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
