About Eva

My mother tongues are Russian & English but I began learning French at age 8 at a French lycée in Los Angeles. I've studied French for many years, completing a double degree in French Language & Politics at UCSB and Sciences Po Paris. I've worked in France, in communications & public relations sector, crafting brand messaging for French organizations and officials. With family & friends residing in France and working for French companies, I maintain a perfect level of French culture & language, despite it being my 3rd language.

About the lesson

I structure my lessons around what my students do during the week or like to spend their free time doing. This ensures that they can learn how to use the language in a useful & meaningful way. We will learn various grammatical structures, idioms and words that will equip them to clearly express their thoughts and engage with what matters to them.

Eva Kerner is a fantastic mentor and teacher. I’ve known her from her days at Sciences Po in Paris. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, she has a perfect Parisian accent for her many years of experience living in France and working with French companies.

Just as importantly, Eva is simply a joy to be around. I highly recommend Eva!

Pretty much every single French person we met travelling through France thought Eva was French. Need I say more?

Eva is a very engaging and convincing person at first sight. As soon as she starts talking to you, you are amazed by the way she talks and is able to include people in her universe. In addition to this great pedagogical behavior, Eva speaks amazingly French - she can switch from French to English (and Russian) completely seamlessly. Enjoy!
