About Owen
Hi! I’m Owen — a friendly and motivated tutor who’s passionate about helping students do their best. I recently achieved triple A*s in my chemistry, maths and engineering A-levels. I’m now studying through a degree apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, where I’m gaining real industry experience while continuing my university studies. Because I’ve just been through the exam process myself, I know how stressful it can be — and how much of a difference a good explanation and a bit of encouragement can make. I aim to be the kind of tutor I would’ve wanted: patient, clear, and genuinely invested in your progress.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building confidence, breaking down tricky topics, and helping students develop understanding. I use a mixture of exam-style questions and active recall to make content stick. Most sessions are 60 minutes, with flexibility for longer lessons around exam time or revision periods. I structure lessons with clear goals at the start, work through key concepts interactively, and finish with a short review to track progress. I’ve previously tutored younger students improve in subjects like Maths, Chemistry, especially at GCSE level, and I really enjoy explaining things in a way that makes sense to you.
