About Demi
Hello! I'm Demi, and I'm currently a third-year student at Swansea University, studying English Literature with Creative Writing. So far, I have achieved a First Class average and won the E. Arthur Williams prize for Best Essayist. While I am very passionate about English, my academic background is diverse, having studied Biology and Psychology at A-Level.
I have worked as a full-time private tutor in Dubai, working with children and young adults with learning difficulties, such as ADHD and Dyslexia. As such, I equipped to teach both those who have difficulty in focusing or synthesising new information, as well as those without difficulties.
My teaching style is generally friendly and open, encouraging a welcoming and tolerance teaching environment. Since all people are different and have different ways of learning and memorising information, an integral part of tutoring for me is tailoring my methods to suit individual needs.
