  • 1) Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

My journey with computers began around 2010, when as a kid I first sat in front of a screen and felt an immediate pull , not toward games or browsing, but toward the black terminal window. There was something deeply satisfying about typing commands and watching a machine respond to your exact instructions. That sense of being in control, of speaking directly to a system, became an obsession that never really left me. It was the beginning of a long relationship with technology that would eventually shape my entire career.
  • 2) What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

Without question, the introduction of the Transformer architecture was the defining turning point in AI history , the "Attention Is All You Need" paper fundamentally rewired how we think about intelligence in machines. Cloud computing has also been transformative to me personally, because it democratised creation. Suddenly anyone, anywhere, with any budget, could build something that reaches millions of people. Looking forward, I believe the next critical battleground in AI will not only be about algorithmic innovation but about infrastructure: how governments invest in data centres, power generation, water management, and how they craft clean, forward-thinking AI regulation. The nations and institutions that solve those problems will define the next decade of the AI race.
  • 3) Explain your expertise, your interest in it and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

I hold a degree in AI Operations (AIOps) with hands-on, industry-oriented labs spanning cybersecurity, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and AI/ML. My core expertise covers machine learning, deep learning, Python programming, large language models, and data science. What drives me beyond the technical side is a long-term vision: I am deeply passionate about the intersection of AI and medicine, particularly the application of AI in drug discovery and healthcare R&D. The idea that machine learning models could accelerate how we develop life-saving treatments is, to me, one of the most meaningful directions the field can take. Teaching these skills matters because I believe everyone deserves to understand and participate in this technological shift, not just specialists.
  • 4) Do so-called 'visionaries' such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you, or do you have other role models?

My inspiration leans more toward the engineering mindset than the managerial or business visionary archetype. The people who genuinely move me are the researchers and builders whose work quietly changed everything, the engineers behind the Transformer paper whose attention mechanism powers virtually every modern AI system, Ian Goodfellow who introduced GANs and opened an entirely new frontier of generative AI, and Yann LeCun whose foundational work on CNNs laid the groundwork for modern computer vision. These are people who sat down, solved hard problems, and published ideas that the world is still catching up with. That kind of deep, patient, technically rigorous contribution is what I aspire to.
  • 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

My path into AI is perhaps an unusual one , I began my academic journey studying medicine. The combination of a medical background and an AI engineering degree is rare, and for a long time I wasn't sure how to reconcile the two. It was during the COVID-19 lockdowns in 2020 that everything clicked. Stuck at home like everyone else, I started freelancing in AI and ML , first out of curiosity, then out of passion. My friends played a huge role during that period, encouraging me to keep going when the early days were slow. What started as a side project during a global crisis gradually became my full-time calling. Looking back, the divergence from medicine to AI turned out not to be a contradiction at all , it became my biggest strength, giving me a perspective on technology that most engineers simply don't have.
  • 6) What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

I would tell them: I understand exactly how that feels , and I also know it is not true. Over five years of teaching, the majority of my 200+ students have come from non-technical backgrounds , working professionals transitioning into tech, people changing careers mid-life, and individuals who never thought of themselves as "tech people." Every single one of them learned. The barrier is almost never intelligence or aptitude. It is almost always the way the subject is presented. My job is to meet you where you are, strip away the jargon, and show you that what looks complicated from the outside is actually a series of small, logical steps. You do not need to understand everything at once , you just need to take the first one.
  • 7) What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

Outside of technology, I genuinely love being outdoors , hiking gives me the mental reset that hours in front of a screen cannot. Cricket has been a constant in my life, the kind of sport that teaches patience and strategy in equal measure. And I have a deep appreciation for video games, not just as entertainment but as one of the most impressive intersections of storytelling, design, and real-time computing that exists. I also carry a long-term passion for AI in healthcare particularly its potential in drug discovery and pharmaceutical R&D. That sits somewhere between a professional ambition and a personal mission, and it is the direction I see my own work heading in the years ahead.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof in IT?

Five years of teaching, over 200 students and clients, and a consistent focus on one specific type of learner: the person who is transitioning from a non-technical background into the tech industry, or the working professional who wants to grow and stay relevant in a rapidly changing field. I do not teach theory for its own sake , every concept I introduce is connected to something practical and real. My background in both medicine and AI engineering gives me an unusual ability to explain complex ideas in human terms. And my own journey , starting from a terminal screen as a child, building through a global pandemic, teaching across multiple international platforms , means I bring lived experience to every lesson, not just textbook knowledge.
