About Andrew
I graduated from Cambridge with a degree in History (First Class) but I am also passionate about English language and literature, which I have taught in a Kenyan classroom and with individual pupils in the UK preparing for GCSE and A-Level. One of my first assignments was with a pupil who had been excluded from school. He was predicted to achieve grade C or below. After six months of weekly tuition, his examination results were A and A*. I therefore believe that mentoring is as important as academic success. Teaching English and History to A-level standard is something with which I am confident. I would also be happy to prepare history applicants for Higher Education including Oxbridge entrance. Given my background and involvement with the Church of England, I am comfortable with teaching a critical analysis of religion and ethics to GCSE or A-level.
