About Braden
I'm an engineering student at McMaster University, and as a former Assistant Teacher and Tutor at Spirit of Math, I've worked with students of different learning styles and abilities, developing the patience and communication skills needed to explain challenging concepts clearly. I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and reaching their academic goals.

My lessons are tailored to each student's learning style, whether they need help mastering core concepts, improving problem-solving skills, or preparing for quizzes, tests, and exams. I focus on building a strong conceptual foundation before working through progressively more challenging practice problems, helping students gain both confidence and independence.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous material and addressing any questions, followed by introducing or reinforcing key concepts. We then solve practice problems together before the student works through questions independently with my support. I also provide strategies for studying effectively and approaching unfamiliar problems.
As a former Assistant Teacher and Tutor at Spirit of Math, I've worked with students of varying abilities and understand how to explain difficult concepts in clear, approachable ways. My goal is not just to improve grades, but to help students develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed for long-term success.
I primarily tutor high school students in mathematics and physics, including students preparing for university or seeking enrichment beyond the classroom curriculum.
