I always use analogies and examples that relate to each student. The ultimate goal when I tutor is to make sure that my students are set up to be successful without me, no matter what the subject may be. I have a digital whiteboard and I always make sure my examples are clear. Depending on the grade level of my students I change my speed/mode as well as my set up. I always adapt for each person I come in contact with.
I am here to help you. I already know this, let me make sure you do too.
In addition, I try to always keep it positive and give positive feedback. Math isn't a subject that clicks easily with every person. It is also a subject that clicks at a different speed with every student. Its ok if things start off confusing in class. We can work together to make it clear for you!
