About Joshua
My name is Joshua, I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2013 with a master's degree in French. Since then I have worked as a translator working for companies such as Amazon. In this culture now of staying at home and improving ourselves, I wanted to offer my services as a tutor in order to help people learn French. (I'm happy to provide proof of degree privately, however I don't post it to the site to avoid identity theft, etc)

Online tutoring using Skype, Zoom, Discord or any other video conferencing software you would like. I tutor basic levels of French (high school, beginner adults). I am very friendly and approachable. I work to make difficult concepts easy to understand, and work well with anxious or nervous students. Grammar can often be a daunting part of any language but I break it into its most basic blocks and use this to build up a firm foundation to give you confidence in your abilities. Vocabulary can be tailored to each individual's needs, especially if you have a set curriculum you need to cover. I like to recommend free resources for use as well, meaning this it is an accessible way to learn French, with recommendations for practising in your spare time.
