About Ria
Hello! My name is Ria, and I tutor GCSE and A Level Biology. I'm passionate about biology and love helping students build their confidence, strengthen their understanding, and develop effective exam techniques to achieve their best results.
I'm currently taking a gap year and will be starting an MPharm (Pharmacy) degree at university this September. Outside of academics, I enjoy music—I have achieved Grade 8 Piano—and I love staying active through sports, particularly hockey.

Although I am relatively new to tutoring independently, I have gained valuable experience through mentoring students and assisting teachers in secondary school. These experiences have helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently.
My teaching approach focuses on conversation, real-life examples, and analogies to help students truly understand the content rather than simply memorising facts. As a visual learner myself, I create engaging, well-designed teaching slides that make complex topics easier to understand and remember. My aim is to build students' confidence while making biology enjoyable and accessible.
