My niche is in philosophy: the study of knowledge. I am an awarded educator due to my conviction that changing minds changes lives.
Beyond this, I understand success within traditional assessment pathways:
- In graduate school, I received a 3.97 GPA for 30 credit hours, and a "high pass" on my thesis defense
- In undergraduate, I earned a competitive funded fellowship and Diversity in Action award
- In high school, I received a 35 for the Reading section of the ACT, and a 32 for English

My approach to lesson planning is informed by a focus on improving how students synthesize material. Through selected readings, facilitated discussions, thought exercises, and moments for intellectual play, I aim to foster a subjective connection to objective information.
Critical Thinking is a technique. We begin our training with identifying the student's interests, drawing upon that to found an initial skill set, and eventually build a confidence that can be transferred to any subject.
