About Aminah
I want to teach English because it’s a subject I’m genuinely passionate about, particularly when it comes to its intricacies and finding meaning in even the most seemingly insignificant details. I personally find analysing and reading texts to be both fun and interesting, as it allows you to develop a deeper understanding of a wide range of things, from the historical context of texts you’ll be expected to study at GCSE to simply understanding the effects of language and structure in literature and how they have shaped the way we read and interpret texts.
I hope to teach others how to appreciate the subject and show them how fun and accessible it can be! :)

I like to approach lessons with an open mind. School is for learning and improving, not for being immediately perfect at a subject, and it’s a shame that children are expected to perform to such high standards without the support and time they might need. During my time in secondary school, I taught numerous children English as part of my prefecture duties, and I received quite positive feedback! :)
My lessons can range from one to three hours after 3 p.m. on weekdays, while weekends are much more flexible. I can teach anything from SATs to GCSE level.
