I have three years of tutoring experience at the university level, and two years of teaching experience in a middle school classroom.
I graduated with a nearly perfect GPA for both my master's degree in Education and bachelor's degree in honors Philosophy.

Reading and writing can be challenging, but my job is to simplify the steps so that the student can eventually tackle them on their own.
For reading-focused needs, tutoring sessions would look like reviewing the content in the session, breaking down the concepts, and analyzing the main ideas.
For writing-focused needs, tutoring sessions would look like reading the prompt aloud, brainstorming topics, working on outlines, and then guided revisions.
My goal is to help the student grow to a point where they no longer need me. My tutoring skills are best fit for students in middle or high school.
