About Macalli
I have been passionate about education since I began tutoring math and French in early high school, and I find genuine joy in seeing a student’s "lightbulb moment." As a mechanical engineering student, I bring a strong technical foundation to my tutoring, but I prioritize being a patient and adaptable guide above all else.
I enjoy the creative challenge of tailoring my explanations to a student's unique learning style until a concept truly clicks. In my math and physics sessions, I focus on the underlying theory and logic behind every problem. My goal is to ensure students develop a genuine, intuitive understanding of the material—helping them move past simple memorization so they can approach their coursework with clarity and confidence.

I offer a versatile tutoring experience for middle and high school students, ranging from urgent homework support to structured, long-term conceptual mastery in math and physics. My methodology is rooted in the belief that every student learns differently; I adapt my pace to match whether you need a quick solution for tomorrow’s assignment or a deep dive into foundational principles.
A typical session is dictated by your needs: we can spend the hour working through your school-assigned problem sets, or I can lead a custom lesson using digital whiteboards and real-world engineering examples to explain tricky topics like mechanics, optics, or calculus. What sets me apart is my ability to provide "engineering intuition"—showing students how the math they learn in the classroom applies to real-world technology and design.
I specialize in the BC Curriculum (Math 8-12, Physics 11/12), including AP and IB paths. Whether you need a one-time "homework rescue" or a semester-long guide to boost your GPA, I provide the tools and confidence to help you succeed.
