About Faye
My name is Faye, and I've had 8 years of teaching experience. As a local, I have studied and worked closely with the BC curriculum.
I've worked with students ranging from elementary school to university level (ages 5-25), teaching the following subjects:
- Mathematics (K to Grade 12)
- English (K to university)
- Science (general, Biology, Chemistry)
- Social Studies (elementary)
- Philosophy (university)
- AP subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Calculus
- SAT prep
My formal education is a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Philosophy and minoring in Business, from the University of British Columbia. During my time in post-secondary, I received several scholarships, such as the Arbor Scholarship from the University of Toronto.
My other experiences working with students, kids and youth, include:
- Choir Director and Mentor for Como Lake Middle School
- Writing Centre Tutor at University of British Columbia
- Co-Founder of Career 101 for Youth, a non-profit for high school students
- Career Peer Coach at University of British Columbia
