About Yolanda
With over four years of experience tutoring students at different levels, I bring both academic expertise and a strong sense of professionalism to every lesson. I am highly organized, reliable, and efficient, and I take each student’s progress seriously.
As an ESFJ, I am optimistic, approachable, and genuinely invested in my students’ success. I create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their opinions. I believe learning works best when students feel understood and supported, so I actively adapt my teaching strategies to find the most effective solution for each individual.
My goal is not only to improve academic performance, but also to build confidence, motivation, and strong learning habits that last beyond our lessons.

My tutoring approach is student-centered and practical. I focus on building strong foundations in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension by adapting lessons to each student’s level and goals. I explain concepts clearly, use real examples, and encourage active participation to build confidence.
A typical lesson includes reviewing previous material, introducing a focused skill (such as grammar, essay structure, or reading strategies), guided practice, and independent application. I always leave time for feedback and questions.
What sets me apart is my background in Psychology and Education, which allows me to tailor lessons to different learning styles and support students’ confidence and motivation. My English lessons are for elementary to high school students, as well as university students who want help with writing, reading comprehension, ESL.
