About Ammar
Hello, and welcome.
I am an Iraqi-Canadian ESL tutor, fluent in both English and Arabic, with several years of tutoring experience and over two years of professional experience as an English–Arabic interpreter. I am currently studying English at the University of British Columbia, which continues to strengthen my understanding of language and communication.
Having successfully completed the IELTS exam myself, I understand the challenges language learners face and help students improve their speaking, reading, writing, pronunciation, and overall confidence in English.
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and practical. I adapt lessons to each student’s goals and create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and improving step by step. Whether you are learning English for school, work, or everyday communication, lessons are designed to be clear, engaging, and useful.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading Russian literature and playing table tennis.
