About Hunter
I am a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I graduated with a degree in economics and journalism with highest distinction. I am currently pursuing a masters at the University of Chicago, which brought me back to my Midwestern roots!
During my time at UNC, I served as the sports editor of the Daily Tar Heel for two years, where I led a team of 50 writers and managed a desk that produced top-class coverage that could be enjoyed by the campus community and beyond. I also developed quality research skills while writing my senior honors thesis that focused on the social and economic progression of Detroit through the realms of athletics, which happens to be one of my most significant extracurricular passions!

I enjoy catering my lessons to the interests of the student and presenting information and ideas in a way that pertains to their passions. I believe grasping concepts and igniting a creative mind is a gradual process, so and I think being a patient instructor is the most effective way to allow something to stick in the student's mind.
In the field of crafting application essays, I strive to help each writer powerfully tell a unique story while still pertaining to the important areas of a college application. Each student has a compelling story that makes them unique, and I take responsibility in transforming that anecdotal moment or idea into a powerful piece that can help change their life.
