About Federico
I am a friendly and committed tutor with over three years of paid and voluntary tutoring experience, during which I have built long-term relationships with loyal students and families. Alongside tutoring, I am involved in medical research at University College London, which allows me to bring academic rigour and real-world relevance into my teaching.
I am highly organised, motivating, and approachable, and I take pride in creating a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and challenging themselves. I prepare structured lessons tailored to each student’s goals, with a strong focus on exam success and measurable progress. My approach to tutoring is concept-first and exam-focused. I begin by ensuring the student fully understands the underlying theory, using clear explanations and simple examples. Once the concepts are secure, we work through progressively more challenging problems, and then move on to exam-style questions to build confidence, speed, and accuracy under assessment conditions.
Lessons typically last one hour and are taught online, allowing for flexibility while remaining structured and efficient. I adapt each session to the student’s level and learning pace, with a strong emphasis on identifying common exam pitfalls and teaching students how to structure high-mark answers.
I tutor GCSE, A-Level, and IB students, up to 16 years old, and I am particularly effective at exam preparation, revision planning, and helping students maximise marks. I have over three years of paid and voluntary tutoring experience, alongside teaching and mentoring roles in sailing, taekwondo, and youth education, which have strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and work confidently with young learners.
