About Nandika
Having received an A* in A-Level Biology, I know the value of persistence, patience and positivity. My aim is to help students build both knowledge and confidence, so that they can approach their studies with less stress and more focus. To encourage learning, I prioritise creating a calm, positive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I believe motivation grows when students see their own progress, so I make sure to celebrate small wins and highlight improvements. My goal is not only to strengthen subject knowledge but also to build long-term confidence and independence in learning.

In my hour lessons, I take a structured yet flexible approach, starting with identifying each student’s individual goals, current level, and preferred learning style. I plan sessions in advance, ensuring each one builds on the previous while leaving space to revisit difficult topics. Lessons typically begin with a brief recap, followed by clear, step-by-step explanations and guided practice. I encourage active participation through questions, worked examples, and discussion, so students feel confident engaging with new material. Between lessons, I prepare tailored resources such as practice questions, summary notes, or visual aids to reinforce understanding. I regularly assess progress through informal quizzes, review of past work, and open conversation about how the student feels they are improving. This helps me adjust my teaching pace and focus to meet their evolving needs.
