About Daniel
I am a UK-trained dentist and current MSc Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery candidate at University College London (Eastman Dental Institute), with strong academic and clinical foundations in biology, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medically related sciences. My training has included exposure to oral surgery, oral medicine, ENT, oncology, cardiovascular medicine, and medically complex patient care, all of which strengthened my understanding of how foundational sciences apply directly to real clinical practice.
Alongside academics and healthcare, I have always maintained a strong interest in sport and performance. I regularly play tennis, squash, football, and hockey, which has helped me develop discipline, communication, adaptability, and teamwork both inside and outside professional environments. These interests also contribute to my teaching style, as I value consistency, resilience, and building confidence through gradual improvement.
I am passionate about helping students genuinely understand difficult concepts rather than simply memorizing information. Throughout my own academic journey, I learned that the most effective teaching comes from simplifying complexity, encouraging critical thinking, and adapting explanations to each individual’s learning style. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.
Students often appreciate my ability to explain challenging scientific concepts in a calm, structured, and approachable manner. I particularly enjoy connecting anatomy, physiology, and biology to real-life clinical examples, making lessons more practical, memorable, and engaging.
I teach students from high school through to university level, including those studying biology, anatomy, physiology, dentistry, medicine, oral biology, and healthcare-related sciences.

My teaching approach is centred around understanding rather than memorisation. I aim to simplify complex biological and anatomical concepts by linking them directly to real clinical and physiological scenarios. As a UK-trained dentist and MSc Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery candidate at University College London, I have experience applying anatomy, physiology, pathology, and biology within both hospital and primary care environments. This allows me to explain not only “what” happens in the body, but also “why” it happens clinically.
My lessons are highly interactive and adapted to each student’s level and goals. I typically begin by identifying areas of weakness or uncertainty before building strong foundational understanding through diagrams, clinical examples, active questioning, and exam-style application. Lessons may include structured topic reviews, problem-solving, revision strategies, and simplified breakdowns of difficult concepts such as neuroanatomy, physiology pathways, musculoskeletal systems, oral biology, or disease mechanisms.
What sets me apart is my ability to bridge foundational sciences with real-world healthcare application. Through my training across oral surgery, oral medicine, ENT, oncology, cardiovascular medicine, and medically complex patient care, I can provide insight into how anatomy and physiology are genuinely used in clinical decision-making. I also place strong emphasis on critical thinking, communication, and helping students develop long-term confidence in their understanding.
Lessons are suitable for high school, undergraduate, pre-medical, dental, and healthcare students studying biology, anatomy, physiology, oral biology, or related biomedical sciences. I also welcome students preparing for exams, interviews, or those seeking additional academic support in medically related subjects.
