About Ameer
Hi, I'm Ameer, a Master graduate from UCL. Having worked as a pharmacist, I decided to change careers in 2015 to become a GCSE / A-Level science teacher. I have a PGCE and QTS in Science and am currently undertaking the NPQ qualification to lead teacher training. I have previously worked as an Education Consultant for Accenture, where I supported clients from the education sector incorporate technology within their operations. I am extremely passionate about the profession and have my own approaches which have served students well.

As an experienced Science and Maths Tutor teaching at a secondary school in London, I have developed a strong teaching practice over the years. I use metacognitive techniques to support learning. In addition to being a science teacher, I am also the ECT coordinator at my school, where I manage the teaching and learning for 16 Early Career Teachers that fall under my remit. I have worked with the AQA and Edexcel examination boards and have a deep understanding of the national specification. I am also a qualified Pharmacist with a Master's degree in Pharmacy from UCL (Upper 2:1). I changed career in 2017 to follow my passion and become a full-time teacher. I have completed my PGCE and hold a QTS in Science. I have taught Maths / Science at GCSE and Chemistry at A-level for 7 years. I teach with a passion and only commit to students who are keen to progress over the long run.
