About Madison
I’m a UCLA-trained, working professional actor and educator with experience across television, film, theater, and commercial performance. My credits include series regular roles on Amazon’s The Lake and Fox/Tubi’s The Z-Suite, as well as All American, Black-ish, BlackAF, Sydney to the Max, and theatrical work at The Geffen Playhouse.
Alongside my acting career, I’ve taught acting and scene study through The Adderley School, STAR Education, and Cheviot Hills, and I currently coach actors privately. Most recently, I returned to UCLA as a guest lecturer and undergraduate admissions reviewer for the School of Theater, Film and Television.
I tailor every lesson to the individual student, whether you’re new to acting, studying at the college or conservatory level, preparing for an audition, or looking to strengthen your professional work. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where you can take risks, build confidence, and develop practical tools you can actually use.
I love helping actors become stronger, more confident performers while also giving them an honest, current perspective on navigating the industry.

My Approach to Teaching
My approach is practical, individualized, and rooted in both formal acting training and real-world professional experience. As a UCLA Acting graduate and working television, film, and theater actor, I teach students how to develop strong foundational technique while also understanding how that technique translates to auditions, self-tapes, callbacks, and professional on-camera work.
I believe the best teaching meets each actor where they are. I adapt my approach to the student’s experience level, learning style, goals, and specific challenges. Rather than imposing one particular methodology, I draw from my training and professional experience to help students develop tools they can actually use. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, making choices, asking questions, and developing their own artistic voice.
Teaching Methods & Techniques
I work with students on:
Self-tape and on-camera audition technique
Scene and script analysis
Character development and objectives
Subtext and making specific, playable choices
Actor-to-camera relationship
Audition and callback preparation
Television and film performance
Responding to adjustments and direction
Building confidence and authenticity on camera
Professional industry expectations and audition etiquette
I often use an active, hands-on approach. Rather than simply discussing technique, we apply it directly to scenes, sides, audition materials, or self-tapes. I give specific, actionable feedback and then have the student immediately experiment with the adjustment so they can understand how a change affects the performance.
A Typical Lesson
A typical lesson begins by identifying the student's goal for the session. We may begin with a brief check-in or warm-up before moving into the day's material.
For an on-camera lesson, for example, we might:
Review the script or audition sides and identify the character's objectives, circumstances, relationships, and subtext.
Discuss the student's initial interpretation and identify opportunities to make the choices more specific.
Perform or tape the scene.
Review the work together and identify what is and isn't translating on camera.
Experiment with adjustments, including changes to intention, pacing, physicality, or listening.
Tape the scene again to apply those adjustments.
End with concrete takeaways the student can continue practicing independently.
Lessons can be adapted depending on whether the student is preparing for an upcoming audition, working on a class scene, developing general technique, or navigating the professional industry.
What Sets Me Apart
What distinguishes my approach is that I am not only an acting teacher—I am a currently working professional actor who has experienced the audition and production process firsthand.
My professional credits include series regular roles on Amazon's The Lake and Fox/Tubi's The Z-Suite, as well as work on All American, Black-ish, BlackAF, and Sydney to the Max, along with theater and commercial work. I have worked in both single-camera and multi-camera environments and understand the practical demands of performing for today's television and film industry.
At the same time, I have substantial teaching and mentorship experience. I have taught through The Adderley School, STAR Education, Drama Department's across LA, and I currently coach actors privately. Most recently, I guest lectured at UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television and served as an undergraduate admissions reviewer for the program.
This combination allows me to help students develop their craft while also giving them an honest, current perspective on what it means to pursue acting professionally.
Who My Lessons Are For
I work with a range of students, from beginners developing their foundational acting skills to experienced actors preparing for professional opportunities.
My lessons are particularly suited for:
High school and college students interested in acting or pursuing theater/film programs
Undergraduate and conservatory-level acting students
Emerging professional actors
Actors preparing for television or film auditions
Actors looking to improve their self-tape technique
Actors preparing for callbacks
Students working on scene study or script analysis
Actors looking for guidance transitioning from academic training into the professional industry (from press opportunities to industry circuit experience)
I am happy to tailor lessons to the student's specific goals, whether that means building foundational technique, preparing for an upcoming audition, strengthening on-camera skills, or developing a practical roadmap toward a professional acting career.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
I’ve watched Madison build her career as an actor for years, and she is one of the most hardworking and genuinely supportive people I know. She has a huge amount of professional experience, but what stands out most is how much she cares about helping other people succeed. She’s patient, encouraging, and great at explaining things in a way that makes people feel confident rather than intimidated.
Madison is a coach I always go back to. She shows up over prepared, ready to play, and is just fun to work with. She's helped me with my materials, self tapes, and has so much insight into the industry since she's a working actress herself. Can't recommend enough!
