About Jaesang
Hello! My name is Jae, and I am an incoming freshman at UCLA! A couple facts about me is that I love playing Helldivers, and I swam for my varsity swim team in high school. Even if we haven't met yet, I just want to assure you that as your teacher I will always put your learning experience first and never make you feel ashamed about getting something wrong, it happens to the best of us! As a UCLA Statistics major with 5s on both AP Calculus AB and BC, I focus on making complex math concepts clear, interesting, and approachable. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching style to meet individual needs—whether that means breaking problems down step-by-step, using relatable examples, or reinforcing foundational skills.

Typical Lesson Plan
1. Check-in & Review: Ask student about 2 good things and 2 bad things that happened in the week, then review questions from class/homework.
2. Concept Breakdown: Introduction of the new topic in a digestible, easy-to-understand way.
3. Guided Practice: Work through problems together, discussing strategies and common mistakes.
4. Independent Practice: Student tries problems with my support when needed.
5. Wrap-Up & Preview: Recap key takeaways and briefly discuss next week's lesson.
