About Charlene
I am a recent UCSD alumni who has always had a passion fro English. I have tutored students for about three years, and was actually a tutoring student myself back in elementary and middle school. I am an empathetic person, so I will not force anything upon my students that I feel like will unnecessarily stress them out. We will always go at their leisure, which I find is the best method that allows them to be most productive. As a student myself for the past 20 years, I can also gauge what style of teaching the students prefer and am able to relate to them on a deeper level regarding academia because I am a recent graduate.

I am a patient yet relatable person who strives to create a safe space in order to facilitate effective learning. I go at their pace, but also challenge them to expand their learning every other session. If there is work from school, then I will do my best to help them succeed, but if there is no school work, I create fun challenges that allows them to harbor more advanced English skills. K-12 are preferred for me.

Perfect! Hey folks, I just had to drop a review for my awesome English tutor, Charlene. Seriously, this tutor is the bomb! She make learning English super fun and tailored to your needs. She know her stuff inside out - grammar, vocabulary, literature - you name it!
I gotta say, her teaching style is on point! She keep things interactive and engaging, and she never make you feel dumb for asking questions. Her patience and positive feedback really boost your confidence and help you tackle any language hurdles.
