About Steven
I am a passionate educator, technologist, and traveler. After graduating from UCSD, I worked as a high school math teacher for three years through Teach for America. During this time, I developed a deep understanding of the challenges facing students from underserved communities and became committed to using technology to improve educational outcomes for all students.

I believe that a creative and empathic approach is essential for effective tutoring. I tailor my teaching methods and techniques to the individual student, using a variety of activities and resources to keep lessons engaging and relevant. I also focus on building rapport with my students, creating a safe and supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks.
A typical lesson plan for me might include a combination of lecture, discussion, group work, and hands-on activities. I would also incorporate creative elements, such as games, puzzles, and art projects, to help students learn in a fun and stimulating way.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to connect with students on a personal level. I am empathetic and understanding, and I am always willing to go the extra mile to help my students succeed. I am also a creative thinker, and I am always looking for new and innovative ways to help students learn.
I am a versatile tutor who can work with students of all ages and levels. I have experience tutoring in a variety of subjects, including math, science, English, and history. I am also comfortable working with students who have special needs or learning disabilities.
If you are looking for a tutor who is creative, empathic, and dedicated to helping students succeed, then I would be honored to work with you.
